A Review Of Digifon Boom-Q Speaker

When we talk about Speaker brands, not very many are familiar with the name “digifon”. They know JBL, Bose, Tribit, Beatbydre, Sony, Braven and many other recognised Bluetooth Speaker brands in the market today, yet “digifon” has been one of the key players in the distribution of wireless smart phone accessories for more than a decade across boards. The fact is, the trademark name “digifon” is a well known brand in Canada certified by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) for North America and Central Europe (CE) certified for Europe.

I got to know about the brand earlier this year via a twitter trend where many talked about the quality, authenticity, how stylish and to cap it all, the affordability of their products. I was prompted to check their twitter – Instagram page and realised they are however just building an online presence but then, they have been running for over a decade and perhaps just realised they need to get on socials for more people to know about the good products they offer. Not to drift far off the topic, I made my research and found out quite a lot and I had to buy their wireless Bluetooth Speaker to test what the hype was all about. I was wowed and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

This is why I will take my time to introduce you to their outstanding portable Boom Q Speaker. I was happy when I got it because I have always longed to get a portable speaker for myself and I finally did but was tensed, out of the fear of not being sure if I made the right decision or not.

If you know me you will know how crazy I am about gadgets cause I’m the type that only patronise good brands with name that carries authenticity and credibility around it. I like to show off my devices and be proud to put their features to test and to brag amongst my colleagues that I use only quality stuffs that have got class, style and that I trust not to disappoint me.

The Boom Q Speaker gave me just that taste of victory at the office the following week. A colleague was marking a light birthday after work so I volunteered to be the DJ, I brought the speaker out of my bag and one of them said “guy, which one be this kolobo (small) speaker again” [he was making gest of the speaker already]. He asked for the name, I said “digifon”, his next response was “what is digifon?”. He took the speaker from me, checked out the speaker and almost confused the logo for beatbydre (they sure have similar look but beatbydre logo is “b” while digifon is “d”). Everyone was already waiting for me to play something so as to get the party started already and be done for them to go home. The sound the speaker gave off wowed all of them and they were coming to check to know what speaker it was. That is always a prove that something has got quality. It was tested and it earned their trust and they all had to ask to be able to put a name to the Speaker brand.

Descriptively, the Boom Q Speakers are mini portable and pocket friendly speaker with beautiful compact sound package that allows for sound separation and let you pair two of the speakers or more with one device to enjoy an extra Boom output experience. The battery life when fully charged last up to about 9 hours which is similar to the energy efficiency in many of the new Speaker models by other top tier brands in the market as well.

This “small but mighty” portable speaker has quite a number of other awesome features to consider like its IPX4 Splash and dust proof feature, a nicely attached braided hook that let you carry it around easily and an advanced Inbuilt microphone that allows you talk while on call and connected to the Bluetooth Speaker without any form of glitch in the sound reception from caller to receiver, ( I particularly love and enjoy this feature a lot).

Another feature I love about this speaker is its soft silicone coats made of rugged, unscratchable material, resistant to corrosion, peeling or wearing out. The speaker also has four colours to match your different outfit and personality; The available colours are black, blue, army green and red.

PRICING – I will say it is rather very affordable for 15k cause most of the speakers in its grade are sold for nothing less than 25k and you can grade the Boom Q Speaker side by side with many other top choice Bluetooth Speakers in the market today.

There is also a bigger Speaker called the Boom Max by this brand. It is a more superior Speaker in terms of its size, sound quality and extra bass audio output amongst other upgraded features than Boom Q. Evidently, if Boom Q can do so much then the Boom Max has got to have a better and much more improved sound with a much more enhanced powerful bass output and audio.

Check out their page on Instagram (@digifon) and Twitter (@digifon_ng) for more inquiries about the brand.

You should consider getting one for yourself too and thank me later.
