#EndSars is a clamour from the Nigerian Citizens calling for a stop to Police Brutality and Harassment from the controversial unit.
The month of October 2020 saw revolutionary protests that took over the Country as Nigerians home and abroad demanded the Government shut it down.
However, this is not the first time protests like this have happened but not on this scale. Nigerian artists who have also been victims of this issue have made songs concerning the issue.
While some focus on Police Brutality, this lists only contains songs that about the #EndSars movement.
Zlatan – EndSars
This was released at the time Kolade Johnson was killed after watching a football match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in 2019.
The tragedy led Zlatan to take advantage of the situation to deliver the tune“#EndSars”.
Zlatan in the track called for the controversial unit be completely scrapped.
Dremo – Thieves in Uniform
On “Thieves in Unform” see Dremo compare the Police to Armed robber, remarking that they share a lot of similarities.
He explains the fear and trauma Nigerians are going through because of the Police force.

Zinoleesky – EndSars
Released in 2019, Marlian act, Zinoleesky complains of the harassment of the controversial unit and the silence of the Government.
Dotman – EndSars
Lamba Entertainment act, Dotman shares his experience with Sars and how he is profiled as a ‘Yahoo’ boy because of his dread, iPhone, and dressing.
He also makes it known that he won’t give into bribing the Officers to get released.
Magnito – EndSars
Story-telling rapper, Magnito partners with Former BBNaija housemate, Ike, and others to talk about the SARS situation.
He also advocates for a better salary for Police Officers.
Laycon – EndSars
Winner of 2020 BBNaija show did a cover of Kizz Daniel’s 2019 hit song, “Fuck You” which he titled “EndSars”.
Laycon passes a message directly to the Police Officers in the song, also revealing that his dad was a Police Officer before he died.
He made the song after Kolade Johnson was killed in 2019.
Mohbad – EndSars
Marlian record act, Mohbad also jumped on the #EndSars train in 2019. He raps about the issue to Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” instrumental.
Oladips – EndSars
Rapper, Oladips gives his own take on the Sars issue. He mocks the Police Officers for their inability to solve real crimes and instead harass innocent youths.
He also goes deeper by rapping how the killings might be a conspiracy put together by people at the top.
Shatta Wale – Fuck Sars
Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale decided to lend his voice to the #EndSars movement by releasing a song called “Fuck Sars”.
