Akenzua Adams Aigbodion, popularly known as Mr Kenzi, is a rising Afrobeats artist from Edo State, Nigeria. Growing up in Auchi, he discovered his love for music and rap back in secondary school but had to pause his dreams to focus on education. He later earned an HND in Banking and Finance from Auchi Polytechnic in 2024 and now, while awaiting his NYSC program, he has fully embraced his passion for music.
Kenzi’s sound is rooted in Afrobeats but versatile enough to blend with rap, R&B, pop, dancehall, and reggae. Inspired by artists like Roddy Ricch, Olamide, and Davido, his music reflects both entertainment and social commentary, touching on issues such as injustice, corruption, and resilience. His debut single, “Jeje,” delivers a message of hope and perseverance in the face of Nigeria’s harsh economic realities.
Beyond music, Kenzi is also an entrepreneur and owner of Kenzi’s Bites, a growing food and hospitality business in Auchi. With a unique voice, strong storytelling, and drive for impact, Mr Kenzi is positioning himself as one of the new acts to watch in Nigeria’s vibrant music scene.
