Every child is an artist; the problem is how to remain an artist. Art has the power to transform, educate, illuminate, inspire and to motivate anyone. *Charity with art* was initiated from the desire, zeal and determination to empower lives with my skill of art- *Olarinde Ayanfeoluwa* (Convener). The second edition of charity with art themed *GUSTO*, kicked off with a *charity walk* which had volunteers participate in a 7km walk to identify and feed less privileged children along the Akoka -Jibowu -Yaba -Folagoro -Morocco axis of Lagos state and this years edition came alive on the 24th of February 2018, as they transformed the Ndubuisi Kanu Park Ikeja into a beauty with the lovely ambience saturated with art, sculptures, face painting, virtual games, graffiti, music, food and drinks and lots more.
The GUSTO live art challenge, which had participants produce a portrait of a model or a gusto themed artwork, had several young artists display their creative skills and they were rewarded with certificates and other fantastic prizes. This activity had a *runner up* who carted away with a cash prize and other items courtesy GOKADA.ng and a *winner *who received a creativity award, cash prize and other prizes courtesy Right Bright (CEO, GMG records – an International Record Label based in Nigeria) for their genuine skills.
The highlight of the day was the long anticipated art installation –GUSTO, Championed by creative artist *Segun Okewumi,* was commissioned and unveiled by *Amazing Klef* and *Emex EOT *(GMG Records), courtesy the GRAND PATRON* Mr. Right Bright *(CEO, GMG records), also an amazing music performance from Famouz, Emex EOT and others, had guests in awe as such a beautiful structure was unveiled. GUSTO was donated to LASPARK to serve as a motivation to freelance and young artists to thrive with zeal, strength and stay determined in their chosen career path as everything has an element of art in it. The Earth will just be ‘EH’ without ART.
